#SendAKidToCamp is back for 2021 and we're once again running a Virtual Summer Camp July 19 – August 20 for all Sistema Toronto students.
Sistema Toronto’s program typically runs for 37 weeks during the school year. However, given the uncertainty around in person summer activities, Sistema Toronto is committed to providing an enriching summer experience for our students.
We asked our communities what they would like to see from our Virtual Summer Camp, and with that in mind we will be hosting a combination of large and small group Music & Movement, strings, percussion, and choir classes for 5 weeks this summer. The interactive nature of our online sessions will allow Sistema Toronto students to connect socially with their friends, occupy their time with meaningful activities, and enable their teachers to check in with them on a regular basis throughout the summer.
We are also building on the success of last year’s Virtual Summer Camp and expanding to include young people from other Sistema inspired organizations across Canada, including youth from programs in Québec, Manitoba, Alberta, BC, and Nunavut. We look forward to bringing so many talented young people together for a fun, musical summer.
So, we invite you to help us send a kid to (virtual) camp! We need $10,000 to reach our goal, and we hope you will help.
