The Sistema Toronto team is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of our communities and city. During the upcoming school closures due to COVID-19, Sistema Toronto programs will not be running and any external events will be cancelled or postponed. We understand that this is a challenging time for many – especially part-time or hourly workers in precarious employment – and we would like to do our part to ease the difficulties faced by our own employees. Therefore, we will continue to pay our teachers and support staff as usual during these closures, and will offer paid sick time to any employee who becomes ill or quarantined. We will only be able to flatten the curve by working together and supporting the most vulnerable amongst us.
