W.A.Y: We Are Young

Sistema Toronto students deliver a hit

Throughout February and March, Sistema Toronto students had the opportunity to work with award-winning Indigenous hip-hop artist Cody Coyote and Juno-nominated Toronto rapper Saukrates to write and record their own original song.

The students built the song from concept to final mix, using the opportunity to explore issues they hold close to their hearts: cyber-bullying, self-image, climate change, and following their dreams.

The resulting song is as heartfelt as it is catchy, and thanks to the talents of Zac Facts, you can now see the students perform it in their own music video.
